August 2026 Community Spotlight: Reid Miles
The Neurodivergent Connection / The Curious Storyteller
A Storyteller Creating Space for Authentic Neurodivergent Voices
Some people advocate through research.
Others advocate through education.
Reid Miles advocates through stories.
Growing up in Chicago and later volunteering at museums, Reid experienced both the opportunities and the barriers that many autistic adults encounter. Despite his dedication and strong work ethic, he learned that many organizations still struggle to understand how to support neurodivergent individuals in meaningful ways.
Instead of allowing those experiences to discourage him, Reid chose a different path.
He invested in his education, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology followed by a Master's Degree in Advanced Computer Science with a concentration in Computational Intelligence. Along the way, he discovered that his greatest impact wouldn't come solely through technology—it would come through creating conversations that help others feel seen.
With the encouragement of his family and life coach, Reid launched a podcast centered on authenticity.
His message is beautifully simple:
People shouldn't have to mask who they are to belong.
Each episode invites autistic, ADHD, and neurodivergent individuals—as well as family members, caregivers, and allies—to share honest, thoughtful conversations about life, identity, challenges, and hope.
Just real people sharing real stories.
Through every conversation, Reid reminds us that understanding begins with listening, inclusion begins with acceptance, and every story has the potential to change someone's life.
His work is helping build a world where neurodivergent individuals are valued not for how well they fit in—but for who they truly are.
Thank you, Reid, for using your voice to help others find theirs.
